ఖండాంతర ప్రయాణం
అమ్మను వదలి అప్తులనొదలి
తిరిగొచ్చి మీకు చేయి అందిస్తా నని
చేత్తో ఓ సారి
కన్నీటి తో ఓ సారి
ఉద్విగ్నంగా ఉబ్బిన కళ్ళతో భారంగా వీడ్కోలు
గతించిన మమతలతో
వికటించిన స్నేహాలతో
శిశిరాన్ని చూస్తూ వేసవిలోకి
వేసవిని చూస్తూ శిశిరంలోకి
గమనించని ఈ కాలంలో
బాల్యాన్ని తలచుకుంటూ
ఎప్పటి కైనా వచ్చేస్తామని
కబురందిస్తూ ఎప్పటికప్పుడు
చక్కని పలుకులు పలుకుతూ
ప్రవాసమా వనవాసమా తెల్చుకోలేని
ప్రవాసునుకి అప్పుడు గుర్తొచ్చింది
బయలు దేరేప్పుడు తీసుకుంది
ఒన్ వే టికెట్టే రిటర్న్ టికెట్ కాదని.

ప్రవాశులు తిరిగి వద్దామనుకుంటూనే కాలం గడిపేస్తుంటారు, అక్కడి సౌకర్యాలు అలవాటుపడి. ఈ లోగా పిల్లలు పెద్ద వాళ్ళవుతారు. వాళ్ళ కోసం మరి కొన్ని సంవత్సరాలు గడిపి మధ్యలో చుట్టం చూపుగా భారత్ వచ్చి, అనారోగ్యం పాలయీ, ఇక్కడి అవినీతి, క్రమ శిక్షణ లేని వ్యక్తులు, వాహనాలు,వాతావరణ కాలుష్యం చూసీ ఇప్పుడు కాదులే అని భారత్ వాపసు వచ్చే నిర్ణయాన్ని వాయిదా వేస్తారు. మరల కొన్ని సంవత్సరాలు. పిల్లలు అక్కడి అబ్బాయిల, అమ్మాయిల మోజులో పడి ఇప్పుడు మేము రాము, మీరు వెళ్ళండి అని తల్లి తండ్రులతో చెప్తే, వారి పరిస్థితి ఎలా ఉంటుందొ మీరు ఊహించుకోగలరు. అమెరికా లో అట్లాంటి కుటుంబాలు మీకు తారస పడ లేదా?

వెళ్ళిన ఎవరూ తిరిగిరావడం లేదనడం నిజం కాదు.
మారిన ఇప్పటి పరిస్థితుల్లో విదేశాల్లోని జీతాలతో పోటిపడుతున్న ఇండియాలో జీతాలు, మంచి సాంఘిక వ్యవస్థ. డబ్బున్నవాడికి అన్నిపనులూ ఆఘమేఘాలమీద జరిగిపోయే తత్వం.. ఇవన్నీ ప్రవాసులను వూరిస్తున్నాయి.
పిల్లలు పెరిగి పెద్దయి నో అనక ముందే రావాలని అనుకుంటున్నవాళ్ళే కాదు..వస్తున్నవాళ్ళూ , వచ్చిన వాళ్ళూ వున్నారు.
ఒక్కటి మాత్రం నిజం.. ప్రవాసుల ఆత్మ ఇండియాలో, దేహం ప్రవాసంలో.. బయట పడాలని తపిస్తూ త్రిశంకు స్వర్గంలో వున్నవారే అధికులు.

మీరు చెప్పింది నిజమే. మీరన్న మాటలు పలు సందర్భాల్లో దొర్లుతూనే వుంటాయి. అలా అన్న వారు కూడా తారస పడ్డారు.

మీరన్నది కొంత వరకు నిజం అది కూడా కేవలం 1% కన్నా తక్కువ మాత్రమే. గత 10 సంవత్సరాల్లో(6 లక్షలు వచ్చుంటారు) భారత్ తిరిగి వెళ్ళిన వాళ్ళని వేళ్ళ మీద లెక్క పెట్టవచ్చు. అలా వెళ్ళిన వాళ్ళలో కొంత మంది వెనక్కి వచ్చేసారు కూడా. గుర్తించేంత మంది వెనక్కి వెళ్ళినప్పుడు చెప్పండి అప్పుడు మీతో ఏకీభవిస్తాను.
త్రిశంకు స్వర్గంలో వున్నవాళ్ళు అన్న వాదనతో ఏకీభవిస్తాను.

To me most of the comments or infact Kavitha is a big excuse in life.
People always give these excuses (I meant particularly going back to India....) of roads are not good, no one has discipline, honesty yada yada ...
Going back to home country or not wanting to go outside India is always depends on one's introspection.
First question every one asks themselves is Will we be happy moving out of this (This "this" can be India or anything) place, the moment answer comes "No", then there will be a search for all kinds of excuses to not move.
Bottom line is where can we be happy ? how can we be happy ?
We can never find a proper answer to these questions, hence the result is these Kavitha and other stories
Basic reason people move out of places is to find a good life in some other place. Once tasted the good life and sufficient time is elapsed, then people start thinking to move over to different place, so this cycle never ends.
Simple example is when a person lands in lets say "California", it looks heaven to him or her and couldn't have asked for anything else anytime in future. But once 1 or 2 years gone and married and kids etc, then thinking starts about which state has no state tax, which area is good for real estate, which district is good for schools, and also private or public etc.... so where is the end ? Are people happy atleast here ?
I could go on more elaborately, I think I should this in my blog rather than in the comments section.
